Learn to Swim

Learn2Swim is an American Red Cross accredited swim instruction program. Classes are available for children ages 6 months through 12 years. Child, teen and adult private lessons are also available.

Learn2Swim at Health Zone

Group and private lessons are available for children and/or adults of all ages and skill levels and are open to members and non-members of Health Zone. All Health Zone swim instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.

Learn2Swim Classes Available at Health Zone

Parent/child - ages 6 months to 3 years; infants and toddlers, or a child fearful of the water. Requires parent or guardian participation.

Preschool swimmers - ages 3 to 5 years
Water Frog - independent in a group setting.
Water Dolphin - shows comfort on back with or without support.
Water Shark - can swim three body lengths unassisted.

School-aged swimmers - ages 5 years and up
Level 1 - comfortable getting face wet.
Level 2 - fully submerges, can jump into deep end to instructor.
Level 3 - all skills in lower levels and can swim both the front crawl and the back crawl 15 feet.
Level 4 - all skills in lower levels and rotary breathing.
Level 5 - all skills of lower levels and breast stroke, butterfly and side stroke.
