Quality Initiatives

Identifying the right healthcare provider for your needs is an important decision.

Helpful Quality Resources

There are a number of sources available for comparing hospital quality.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

This organization offers quality measures that illustrate how often hospitals provide recommended care to get the best results for the most patients. You can learn more by visiting www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov.

Joint Commission

Saint Francis Health System entities are fully accredited by The Joint Commission. We embrace the high standards of quality required to attain this accreditation. You can find out more about the accreditation process by visiting www.jointcommission.org.

Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC)

Professional Research Consultants, Inc. selects a random sample of our discharged patients each week, and contacts them by telephone regarding the care they received while at our facility. This independent national consultant allows us to obtain an unbiased, statistically valid look at how we are doing from the patient's point of view.

National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators

This organization serves as a proprietary database of the American Nurses Association which collects and evaluates unit-specific, nurse-sensitive data from hospitals in the United States. The database provides measurement and comparison regarding nursing sensitive outcomes such as pressure ulcers and falls.
