Saint Francis Hospital participates with approximately
4,000 other hospitals nationwide in the Hospital Quality
Alliance (HQA). The program is designed around
evidence-based interventions to improve the treatment for
the following diseases and conditions:
- Heart Attack Care
- Heart Bypass Surgery
- Heart Failure Care
- Pneumonia Care
- Hip and Knee Surgery
The HQA posts results for each hospital, along with state
and national comparatives, on the Hospital Compare
website - www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov.
HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare
Providers and Systems) is also available on the Hospital Compare website. HCAHPS is the
first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of
patients' perspectives of hospital care.
