Trauma Services

The Saint Francis Trauma Emergency Center (TEC) provides treatment to patients with a broad spectrum of life-threatening injuries or illnesses which may require immediate attention. The team of medical professionals working together in our emergency room includes doctors, nurses, physician's assistants, paramedics and other highly-skilled healthcare specialists.

The TEC is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help you and your family when an emergency occurs. Adjacent to the TEC is our Pediatric Emergency Center (PEC), which is prepared to help more than 30,000 pediatric patients each year.

Comprehensive Emergency Care

When you arrive at the TEC, a registered nurse will evaluate the severity of your condition. This assessment, also known as triage, allows patients with more severe injuries or illnesses to seen by a doctor first. If you have a non-emergency condition, such as an earache, an eye infection or a sore throat, those are best treated at one of our urgent care locations. Urgent care centers or primary care physician offices are appropriately equipped to diagnose and treat common illnesses and provide routine care.
