Saint Francis Health System has a vibrant year-round volunteer program for teens. Student volunteers under the age of 18 commit to volunteer a certain amount of hours each month during the school year. During the summer, a student volunteer’s schedule may change to reflect their summer availability.
Student volunteers are trained in most of the same areas as adult volunteers. Students may entertain children in clinic waiting areas and playrooms, assist visitors at the information desk and work in the Gift Shops just to name a few.
Student volunteers should apply in person at the Saint Francis Auxillary office. Located just south of the main lobby at Saint Francis Hospital. All volunteers are required to undergo a background check and tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
