Thank you for your interest in becoming a Saint Francis Student Volunteer. Saint Francis Health System has a vibrant year-round volunteer program for teens.
Becoming a Student Volunteer
Student volunteers should apply in person at the Saint Francis Auxiliary office. The office is located within Saint Francis Hospital. Please enter through the main lobby entrance and check in at the guest services desk. The volunteers there will be happy to show you the way.
Student Volunteer Positions
Student volunteers are trained in most of the same areas as adult volunteers. Students may entertain children in clinic waiting areas and playrooms, assist visitors at the information desk and work in the gift shops - just to name a few.
Student Volunteer Requirements
Because Saint Francis student volunteers interact with patients and families on a regular basis, there are some requirements that must be met. These include:
- undergoing a background check
- having a tuberculosis (TB) skin test
- committing to a certain amount of hours each month during the school year (summer schedule can change to reflect availability).
