Helpful Resources

Learning you have breast cancer can be a frightening and emotional experience. At the same time, you might be so accustomed to caring for others that it is difficult to look after your own needs.

Remember, the fears and feelings you may be experiencing are shared by many other women who have had breast cancer. Your doctor will supply information about your specific condition, therapies that are most suitable for you and even programs that might be available for support. Always talk with your doctor openly about your feelings and every question you have.

It is often possible to gain valuable help and understanding from support groups, programs and resources supplied by various organizations. A list of reputable organizations and their contact information is listed below. You may also want to visit our Caring for the Whole You page.
