Emergency care that caters to children.
Time is precious when a child has a medical emergency. The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis created the Pediatric Emergency Center (PEC) in 2008 to provide pediatric-specific emergency care for kids.
The PEC serves more than 20,000 children each year. The team of pediatric specialists are keenly aware of the need to keep children calm and as comfortable as possible. From child-friendly rooms to Lego figures clipped on stethoscopes the staff puts kids at ease and helps them smile, even in the emergency center.
