Our team keeps kids upbeat in the midst of treatment.
Working with kids who have cancer requires special skills to create the best possible program. On an ongoing basis, the Warren Clinic Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team studies new methods and new research for ways to improve their efforts. Whether a child is being treated for cancer, sickle cell anemia or other types of blood disorders, the entire staff makes them feel special. Every visit is personalized with the same nurse who sees the patient on each visit, and who makes sure treats and even birthday surprises are part of the time spent in The Children's Hospital.
Our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic encounters a sobering 50-60 new cancer cases each year. And while each day the team works to fight a frightening disease, they make sure to prescribe some fun for every treatment.
