Walmart has supported Children's Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide since 1987. During the past 22 years, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Walmart have worked tirelessly together to help children in their local communities. Since 1987, Walmart and Sam's Club associates, customers and members have raised more than $460 million for area children's hospitals.
The 2012 Walmart and Sam's Club register campaign is May 1 through June 15. During this six week campaign, customers will be asked to add a donation on to their total at the register. One hundred percent of the money raised in eastern Oklahoma stays local to help sick and injured children at The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis.
In addition to Walmart and Sam's Club register campaign, coin canisters are set up at each location. Customers can drop their extra change and dollar bills into the coin canister to help support The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis year round.
Locally, Walmart and Sam's Clubs associates have participated in employee fundraisers to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals such as: Miracle Jeans week, potluck lunches and dinners, special store events, horseshoe tournaments and bake sales.
