Patient Information
The patient and his or her family are at the center of the care we provide at the Saint Francis Heart Hospital. Patient care is delivered by a team of professionals – each with individual strengths and experiences – in a large universal room. This means that needed care comes to the patient. If after surgery a patient needs critical care, it comes to them; if a patient is about ready to go home, therapists come to the patient to teach them about exercises or follow up care.
Our open visitation schedule keeps family close at all times. Families are invited to ask questions and talk with the nurses and doctors about the patient’s condition and care. We believe it is important for those who will support the patient’s recovery to be knowledgeable and prepared when the patient leaves the hospital.
