Colon Cancer Symptoms

Tumors can develop anywhere in the colon or rectum. In the event the cancer spreads outside the colon, it will often travel to the nearby lymph nodes. Colorectal cancer can also spread to other parts of the body including the liver and lungs.

Colorectal cancer can cause many symptoms. It is also important to understand that many cases of colon cancer have no symptoms. Yet, the following symptoms may indicate colon cancer:

·                     A change in bowel habits
·                     Diarrhea or constipation
·                     Blood in or on the stool
·                     General stomach discomfort (bloating, fullness and cramps)
·                     Frequent gas pains
·                     Weight loss with no known reason
·                     Constant fatigue
