Osteoporosis

‚ÄčOsteoporosis is a disease of bones that leads to an increased risk of fracture. In osteoporosis, the bone mineral density is reduced and the amount and variety of proteins in bone are altered.

Certain risk factors are linked with the development of osteoporosis or contribute to the likelihood of developing the disease. Many people with osteoporosis have several of these risk factors and others who develop osteoporosis have no identified risk factors.

The Warren Clinic Osteoporosis Center, located within Saint Francis Breast Health Services, is dedicated to effectively treating people with osteoporosis. With numerous methods for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, the Osteoporosis Center is working to maximize bone health.
