When Saint Francis Hospital opened its doors on October 1, 1960, Natalie Overall Warren
already had a team of volunteers ready to enhance the patient hosptial experience. She recognized that an auxiliary of citizens giving time and service from the goodness of their hearts would help weld the community and the hospital into a great asset for Tulsa.
Today, Saint Franics Health System volunteers are 750 strong and work in over 75 departments, directly and indirectly enhancing patient care. The Saint Francis Volunteer Auxillary donate an average of 120,000 hours each year with monetary contribution topping in the millions.

Volunteers are not only an intergral part to the day to day operations of the heatlh system, they also raise funds through various projects. The Auxillary has enabled the purchase of high-tech medical equipment, a state-of -the-art neonatal intensive care ambulance and other important additions to patient care and comfort.
