Eating Disorders
The internationally recognized Eating Disorders Program at Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital has been designed to meet the needs of individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia and other eating-related difficulties. The staff at Laureate has dedicated many years to learning how to help patients and their families understand the causes of the disorder and how to recover. Throughout the development of the program, it has been our goal to create an environment that we would feel comfortable having our own family member attend.
People don’t develop eating disorders for the same reasons. Our treatment team has created a program as individualized as the many individuals we’ve helped. Even though thought patterns and behaviors associated with this condition are similar, the reasons people develop these symptoms are very different. Just as no two people are alike, no two treatments are the same. The Eating Disorders Program at Laureate is highly individualized and we never lose sight of the fact that each patient is the most important part of her treatment team.
