Pulmonology
Pulmonologists specialize in treatment of diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract. Primarily, this includes asthma, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary embolism and cancers of the lung and respiratory system and sleep apnea. At Saint Francis, pulmonologists play a critical role in the care provided. They are called upon throughout the hospital to consult on diseases of the lung and respiratory tract and for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
