Saint Francis Health System named to National Honor Roll for Social Responsibility

TULSA, Okla. – The Lown Institute has named Saint Francis Health System to its honor roll of the most socially responsible health systems in the United States, recognizing the organization’s continued commitment to patient-centered, value-based care.
Saint Francis ranked No. 9 in the 2025 Lown Institute Hospitals Index, which evaluates more than 300 health systems nationwide based on outcomes, value and equity. The analysis includes factors such as patient satisfaction, patient safety, cost efficiency and the avoidance of overuse.
“The Lown honor roll is recognition of our employees’ unwavering commitment to patient-centered care,” said Dr. Cliff Robertson, president and CEO of Saint Francis Health System. “The Saint Francis team leads with integrity and purpose, and this distinction inspires us to continue raising the bar for what healthcare can and should be.”
The rankings are based on publicly available data, including Medicare and Medicare Advantage claims, as well as patient safety data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
“We believe that socially responsible hospitals are those that take extraordinarily good care of their patients and their communities,” said Dr. Vikas Saini, president of the Lown Institute.
This is the second year in a row that the Lown Institute has recognized Saint Francis Health System for excellence in social responsibility. In 2024, Saint Francis and Saint Francis Hospital were ranked among the top 10 health systems and hospitals in the country for fair share spending — a measure of how much nonprofit health systems invest in financial assistance and community benefit.
The institute’s national list of recognized hospitals also included Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee and Saint Francis Hospital South.
